                                        The Who

Born and raised in the Valley of the Sun (Arizona), Taryn was introduced to arts, culture and spirituality at a very young age. She began her love affair with music as she sat on the edge of an auditorium seat, starstruck by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Intrigued, Taryn insisted on learning to play violin and cello, which she played for 9 years until she graduated high school. As you know, one love leads to another. Adoring the creation of organic sound in between the stillness of silence, dance soon became second nature to her. She began learning countless dance forms from the common dance styles of America, the charismatic partner dances of Latin and Swing, to the beautiful and sacred dances of the world. In April of 2015, Taryn journeyed to the Yoga capital of the world, Rishikesh, India to learn the spiritual practice of  Sattva Yoga from Master Teacher Anand Mehrotra. During her 2 month travel alone, she completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training program, taught dance movement at Khushi Project (a charitable school in northern India), and traveled through the intense motherland. She also created art during her journey, through photography, photo shoots, and captured herself through her own lens. Since 2011, Taryn has had over 50 professional shoots throughout Arizona, California, Hawaii, Canada, and recently India, with a number of publications.

               The Why

Taryn was inspired to create deeper meaning behind her modeling when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. The "Tu-Tu Project" sparked the idea for an image she wanted to create to offer support and encouragement to her mom, while evoking strength with femininity.

Every shoot is an experience for her, it's an opportunity to truly become a character, to create a story that moves something deep within someone, a moment that is...timeless. "It could be a curve of a finger or the emotion behind the eyes... I want to remind people what it means to FEEL, even if for a moment, to explore the duality of light and dark within life, and perhaps, even within themselves." Taryn expresses. "My goal is to inspire and empower all people around the world to honor themselves and love themselves entirely. Every body is a beautiful creation, every being is light with is own shadows."
